Firdous Jamal again in hot waters for his negative remarks over Imran Ashraf acting!

Actor Firdous Jamal was again in hot waters after ridiculing yet another actor of the modern era. Yes, his criticism of Imran Ashraf Bhola did not go down well at all. The actor was quoted on live TV saying that he wasn’t a fan of Imran Ashraf’s performance as ‘Bhola’ in Ranjha Ranjha Kardi.

In his recent interview, the Landa Bazaar actor criticized how ‘actors nowadays are just models’. He said that they do not understand what acting is.

Firdous Jamal said:

“Like mannequins in a garment store whose clothes and wigs are regularly changed to suit the needs of the shop; to make them look like someone else, a woman or a man, but unfortunately, they’re not performers.”

It all take a bad turn when the host brought up Imran Ashraf‘s critically acclaimed performance as ‘Bhola on which Waris actor claimed his acting was pretentious, and not spontaneous.

He added many actors have essayed similar roles previously and they ‘behaved the part, not just play the part‘. The strength of an actor lies in living the role and not acting it out.

Imran Ashraf’s fans didn’t stay quiet and blasted the veteran actor on Social media for his unwanted comments.

However, Imran Ashraf’s response to Firdous Jamal was nothing short of classy.

The Inkaar actor said he respects Firdous Jamal’s opinion:

“Firdous Jamal is a great actor and I respect his opinion. He is one of the senior actors of our industry and off course if he would have played this role it would have been100 times better. I didn’t feel bad I will try to improve myself. There is no need for such a reaction as we can bear such words from elders at home.”
