Jared Padalecki Is All Set To Star In Walker, Texas Ranger Reboot!
Jared Padalecki as Cordell Walker!
CBS TV Studio is bringing back the 90’s Walker, Texas Ranger that starred the one and only Chuck Norris. Jared Padalecki is all set to replace Chuck Norris in the upcoming TV series reboot.
This project is an updated version of 1990’s staple of Texas Ranger. Jared Padalecki’s Supernatural will end in the year 2020 but before it ends, the actor has been lined up with his next TV project.
He will play the character of Cordell Walker, a man who returns to his family after serving in Texas as part of an elite law enforcement unit. Walker is a widowed father of two who on his return home after two years discovers that there’s more work to be done at home.
Anna Fricke will write the script of the reboot while Jared Padalecki, Dan Li, Lindsey Libertore and Dan Spilo will be co-producing it.
Walker, Texas Ranger ran from 1993-2001 on CBS and ranked among top 25 series during the time.
What makes Jared Padalecki the ideal candidate for the role? He spent 15 years in Texas starring alongside Jensen Ackles on Supernatural, the last season of which will air on The CW on October 10.
