Update: A civil court in Lahore has dismissed the petition against the screening of Mere Paas Tum Ho last episode in cinemas and the show will air without any hurdles on Saturday, 25th January.
The petition was filed by Maham Chaudhary against the drama who pleaded that it was against the injunctions of Islam and was creating a bad impression of women in society.
After examining statements and documents from representatives from the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority and ARY Digital, Civil Judge Naila Ayub said that show had received clearance from the censor board of Punjab to screen in cinemas so there was nothing inappropriate in it.

After breaking all the records when it comes to ratings and popularity, Nadeem Baig’s directorial Mere Paas Tum Ho is all set to add another feather to its cap as its last episode will be screened in cinemas across Pakistan.
The hype around the big finale of Mere Paas Tum Ho has no match, however, it seems like there are going to be some issues with its screening on the big screen.
According to Entertainment Pakistan, a woman named Maham has filed a petition in a civil court in Lahore to halt the last episode of the drama from screening in cinemas.

The petition filed against Mere Paas Tum Ho claims that the drama degrades women, written by Khalil ur Rehman Qamar, who often finds himself in hot water on social media due to his controversial remarks on feminism and definition of a woman.
After hearing the arguments of Maham, the court has issued notices to the concerned for January 24, 2020. What makes this date crucial is that the finale of Mere Paas Tum Ho will air on 25th January 2020, simultaneously on television and cinemas across the country.
Starring Humayun Saeed, Ayeza Khan, Adnan Siddiqui and Hira Mani in the lead, ‘Mere Paas Tum Ho’ is ruling on the television screens for the past few months.
